I created vector brushes in Affinity Designer to use in my own work. The cover photo is an example of the work I created using these vector brushes. I wanted to create subtle patterns on the artwork and the vector brushes kept the file size manageable.

These are vector brushes, so they are scalable to a certain degree. Since Affinity Designer brushes are made from png files, I like to create the artwork in the size that I want to print or larger. It’s better to scale down than to scale up because at a certain point they do start to pixelate.

You can get creative and use these for texture or for shading. Make circles or squares and create new patterns with them, you’re only limited by your creativity.
