Raw Earth Colored Tribal Abstract Print with Dark Organic Elements

I began this artwork on a book page, prepping it with gesso for a gritty surface that helps the watercolors blend nicely. This one highlights the word “Dark” that I found on the page. I stained the paper with coffee next, to give it an aged feel and let the coffee create its own flow with dark, unpredictable spots. Acrylics and watercolors followed, with a touch of graphite in the watercolor to add some extra texture. To finish, I added details with gel pens, acrylic pens, metallic ink, white-out, and more coffee for that perfect finishing touch.

Prints are available in 4×4 inches, 5×5 inches, 6×6 inches and 8×8 inches.
