Grungy Tribal Abstract Art Print Primitive Organic Earth Tones

I painted this on a book page starting with gesso. The gesso gave the page some grit and allowed the watercolors to flow better. Next, I added coffee to stain the paper to age it and add some color. The coffee flows and buckles the paper and creates dark spots that are unpredictable. I follow up with acrylics and watercolors. The watercolor in this painting has graphite in it for extra yummy texture. I love how it granulates! For detail, I used gel pens, acrylic pens, metallic ink, white out and more coffee.
