Tiny curated 2×2 inch art mounted on 3×3 inch paper. I hand paint larger papers and scan them. I look for 2×2 inch compositions within the art that I love. Starting with found papers, books and junk mail, I apply gesso over everything to create texture. I usually add coffee to stain the work creating unexpected surprises. Sometimes color is added with paints but sometimes it’s the color that was already on the paper that comes through. Most of the papers were meant to be used for collage. These tiny windows into a larger world are often more powerful than the full piece because they focus on the nuance of a single stroke or stain. I find this process very meditative and it’s incredibly satisfying to find a beautiful composition. I love the hint of old typography or a postal marking just barely peek through the gesso and coffee.

I will mount the 2×2 inch print onto the backing of your choice. Choose between white watercolor paper or black mat board. I will sign the back of the print making it a perfect keepsake or gift.

White Watercolor Paper is classic, clean and gives off gallery vibes.
Black Mat Board is moody, dramatic and modern.

Printed on high quality paper with archival inks. ( I use Red River paper which is the best IMO and a Canon Pixma Pro 100 printer)
