I usually use multiply, but experiment with the others to see what happens. These are vector brushes, so they are scalable to a certain degree. Let me explain, Affinity Designer brushes are made from png files, so at some point they do start to pixelate. For this reason, I like to create my artwork in a large size and scale down rather than scaling up so I can see if pixelating is going to be a problem or not.

You can get creative and use these textures for shading or to give a painted feel while still having the precision of vector. They’re great for bringing your illustrations to life and making it look less like vectors.
